Hitting the Big 50
56As many of us know, there are various challenges on Hubpages. Whether it is publishing one hub a day or having 100 hubs by December, there are many options to motivate yourself to get writing. I decided to follow robyna in her challenge to hit 100 hubs by December. From there this outrageous goal formed…
A Crazy Idea
While in class, which, funnily enough, is where I get most of my ideas for poems, hubs and character names, I took a look at what I wanted to do. As of 10/25 I had 23 hubs published. I thought, I really want to hit 50 hubs soon. Then I thought, I wonder if I can hit 50 hubs by the end of October. I did the math. That is only 27 more hubs, or roughly 5-6 hubs a day until Halloween. Not that many when you break it down. So I decided that is going to my highest priority short-term goal. Even if I only make it to 40 or 45 hubs I will be happy, but I want to push myself and see if I can hit 50.
Making It Work
I proceeded to write a list of all the hubs that I want to write about. Now these are specific hubs, not just the general themes. By the time I finished I had 15 hubs titled and ready to be written. 15! That would bring my grand total up to 38 hubs. From there I would only need 12 more hubs. Seeing how easy it seemed to be coming to me I have decided to really go for it. Who knows if this crazy idea will work or not. I will let all of you know if I have done it.
The Problem
The only I can foresee is having the time to write all the hubs. Saturday I have a big party to go to with people I have not seen in almost 6 months. Sunday is the day of recovery. And we all know Halloween is on Monday and that happens to be my favorite holiday. Knowing these things ahead of time really allows me to plan for them. My solution: Write as much as I can today, Friday and Saturday morning and see how far I get. Then on Monday, between eating candy and watching scary movies, I can write the final pieces I need. I think it is a pretty good solution in theory, but slightly questionable in practice. Any suggestions fellow hubbers?

When I did the 30 in 30, the thing I had to keep reminding myself was that quality is more important than quantity. I didn't want to just write something to say it was done when in the long run it would have been a waste of time. I have heard others who have done some of the challenges make remarks along the same lines. But if you are able to pull it off, wow, I would be exhausted. Good luck to you!
Since the day I joined hubpages which is two weeks back I am thinking of reaching on the time I will reach 50 or 100 hubs. I have my own website which I totally stopped cause of this addicting site, I just published my 10th hub today and thought it would take for ever to reach that, but after reading your hub with the enthusiastic way you wrote you encourage me to go for it, I really wish you reach their on the time. hope you all the success. thanks and voted up
You know, you and icciev both ought to consider doing what you are doing and joining the 30 hubs in 30 days challenge. It is a great thing to get involved in because you become involved in a group all working towards the same goal. You read each others hubs and cheer each other on. And you meet some really neat people along the way.
If you look in this hub I wrote, the link is in there.
